Open Question: I found something even a paleontologist would be interested about, but what the heck is it?

A long ways back when I was either in fourth or fifth grade I lived in Guam. At a beach I had found a canine tooth of somesort. A friend told me it belonged to a wild boar. But now I decided to do research on it and there is no way my tooth is from a boar. My problem is I don't know what it is from. It is somewhat dog-like.
